1) Research Grants up to £50,000 per annum
Our focus is on three key areas – early detection, prevention and treatment. Grants will be awarded to projects aimed at developing more progressive research into genetic heart conditions in pre-pubescent children and can be used to fund salaries, consumables and other running costs.
There is no official application form. Applicants are asked to provide details of their research project, why it is important and how it will contribute to current scientific thinking. Grant applications can be made for a duration of up to three years.
2) Families Grants up to £10,000 per annum
We are looking for projects where a relatively small amount of money can make a big difference to the lives of children and/or young people living with life-threatening genetic heart conditions.
Projects will aim to help them and their families overcome the impact of their condition and can involve working directly with children and families, improving their social and physical environment and/or training of key staff involved in their care. There is no official application form.
Applicants are asked to provide no more than a two page resume of their project to include its aims, the number of children/families it will support and the impact of its work. Grant applications can be made for a duration of up to three years.
All recipients of grants will be expected to provide six month reviews throughout the duration of the grant. The application window for 2019 is now closed.
Deadline for next applications – 31 March 2020
Notification of funding decision – June 2020
