Announcing our exciting new partnership!

Max’s Foundation has a new partner – Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

One of our Charity’s aims has always been to help provide support for young adult bereaved siblings (age 14-18) and we are really excited to announce that this has now been made possible together with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

This incredible Charity provides clinical, practical and emotional support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families living in North and Central London and Hertsmere.

They are currently constructing The Ark -  a brand new children’s hospice building located in Barnet on a 7.5 acre nature reserve. This will be a home-from-home for children who are seriously unwell, where they will be given the time and space to be children and not just patients. It will provide an inspiring space for relaxation, adventure, and for children and their families to connect with others facing similar challenges.

Noah’s Ark run various sibling support programmes and Max’s Foundation will now be funding the Synergy Youth Group. This group is aimed at 14-18 year olds with siblings who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and for those who have lost a sibling.

This group allows them to meet others who are in the similar position as themselves and gives them a place to get support, advice, friendship, and a place to just be themselves.

This project is vital for this age group - they can have many things going on at once and may sometimes feel quite lost. Synergy provides a place to have fun, the opportunity to meet like-minded people, and access to much-needed support.
